About Us
Rathcloon Golden Retrievers are based in the historical Dunsany/Killeen area of Co Meath Ireland . My name is Orlagh Murray and my love of Golden Retrievers has grown since my first golden came my life in 1998. I grew up in a home which had always had a dog, we had a Soft coated wheaten terrier named Dana for what seemed like forever. When I met my husband Maurice and we moved into our first home togeather it was one of our first priorities to get a dog. She was a Golden Retriever named Miller "after the beer"and my love of goldens had now begun. My name "Orlagh" in Gaelic means golden princess which was probably an indicator of what was to become my passion.
Although I enjoy showing and training the dogs, first and foremost our dogs are family members, they live in the house and have grown up with my children .
We now share our home with our three beautiful golden girls Carly, Murphy and Star and not forgetting our three beautiful children Cormac, Cliodhna and Eoin.
